| Traditional art practice
draws clear demarcations between art and design. In my work, these boundaries
are not so clearly defined. Art and design are symbiotic, and are intrinsic
to the other. Baudrillard wrote in The Transparence of Evil that
in contemporary society, an aspect of culture invades all others till it
is often found in all other areas except its origin. I find that the best
places to have an artistic experience/intervention is outdie the gallery,
and one of the best places to look for excellence in design is outside the
object. |
