In order to better understand the cultural practices and the larger issues and environment of new media/technological art in which I practice, the compilation and curation of various exhibitions is an indispensible reseach tool. Through curatorial practice, a new media practitioner (note that artistic prsctice is only one aspect of my work) can gain invaluable insights into the cultural structure of society in context of a given set of art forms and institutional issues, In creating these 'metaprojects', a much wider basis for the critical understanding of a given genre can be obtained.

Since 1990, and especially since 1999, curatorial practice has been an excellent counterpoint to writing and exhibition.
