Artist Statement

I try to create my artworks to express quietness with emptiness right after great laughter. Also my goal is to draw something imperfect in need of fufillment, and a world that can be obtained from unordinary point of view.

UK Nakagawa is a Japanese Artist and part of the Digital Image consortium.

1972 Born in Sado city, Niigata Japan
1992 Developed Arcade game mainboards for Data East corp.
Created background and charactor graphics for Action, Shooting, Marchal Arts, and Sports games.
1994 Developed games for Chun Soft Co,LTD.
Developed Super Nintendo, Sega Saturn, Playstation. Created character grahpics for RPG games and background images on Sound Novels Sound Novel: Game player can read novels on screen to choose different options to go through the story. The result could end either in "happy ending" or "bad ending" depending on how players choose the options.
1999 Started as a self employed graphic designer for games and freelance illustrator. Present Developing games and creating illlustrations for magazines.
