.Applets for Jaspanese cell phone -based entertainment have only been surpassed by those in countries like Finland, where wireless communication has reached ubiquitous levels. These five works from Japan, seen as part of PS1 NY's Buzz Club exhibition, explore possibilities for phone-based creativity. Although most of them are not actual phone applications, they explore playful possibilities for future phone-based art.
